Nah i've got a feeling the American Diamantes were made in Japan, we exported to New zealand and some others i think.

I have a feeling that only the 4 pots were exported from AUS to NZ... coz the V6s over there are DOHC

Not all of them, there was a v3000 model which was from Australia and was SOHC, maybe that was only in the 2nd gen magnas though .

All the Diamante's for NZ and US were made here in Adelaide. Japan never sent any to NZ or the US. Diamante's were just Verada's rebadged. So if you want US spares then contact MMAL. Its where the US dealers get the Australian made stuff from. Only exception is when parts were sourced from Japan for Aussie made vehicles.

So this means that MMAL have DOHC engines in Adelaide???

Any DOHC Diamante's in NZ would be grey imports. Imported second hand from Japan. So no there are no DOHC engines in adelaide, unless of course you go to a jap importer. Plus, how long do you think MMAL keeps motors in stock for? THey aren't required to keep parts after 10 years, hence why they are selling off 3.0l V6's atm.
