An old engine mod trick which we old blokes (I'm 46) remember from the 60's and 70's was to polish heads after porting them. So after getting one of EZBoy's legendary flowed TB's I wondered if polishing the internals would have any effect. I've yet to take the car on its first drive with the polished TB now fitted (off to do that when I post this thread). But it sure does look cool:D Took about 2 hours to do by working through 260 grade wet/dry all the way down to superfine grade. I know, I have way too much time on my hands lol
I'll attach some pics this arv...

I hear the engine responds better if it can see its own reflection on the surface of the internals lol

but seriously, did you drive the car with the hi flowed tb before you polished it? just so you get the differance from polishing rather than the hi flo

Yep. Been running a loaner off Ian for 3 weeks, so I am well familiar with the feel. Gotta say the difference with polishing is marginal at best. It seems to smooth off the initial 'snappiness' off the rough finished TB (as Ian leaves it) on initial throttle opening from idle. But would anyone else pick it? Probably not. So was it worth my two hours? Nah. But hey, it didn't cost me any money or performance so it was certainly worth a try. My son at Red Bull F1 has taught me that it's the sum of all the little changes you make that can make a diff toan engine, not just the big ones. But this little change didn't get me too far...
