i have decided to upgrade from my pioneer hu (DEH-6800MP) to the JVC KD-AVX2 and i was wondering what your opinions are on the new HU.

Thx halucn8 but i dont really like the look of the avx1. the avx2 is more symmetrical and thats why i chose it.

i was considering buying your unit a while ago tho.

looks pritty cool,IMO i would get an alpine head-unit :D

yea i looked in to the alpines but none really do it for me, and i like the thought of having a decend quality dvd player in the car for only $700.

its great cause it has 5.1 dolby and time alignment. ( i thought that would be cool to have considering its in my car)

if ur upgrading, why not go the whole nine yards, screen and dvd player?

im pretty sure its a 3.5 inch screen (not that it makes it any easier to see)

i just like the single din size, and i can just eventually buy a couple of screens to put in the headrests later on

new Alpine decks are ALL CRAAAAAAAAAAAP. this said, i just sold my 9815 and bought a 7998R, slightly older pioneer is awesome :)

AVX2 is an awesome deck, and a massive upgrade from the pioneer poo, you will be very happy with it :)
