Peak figures mean jack...
I think u should tell us what the gear actually is. As this will be a determinant in how good it sounds, not i have a xxx watt sub.
What model, what brand, have you thought about sound deadening, install? etc etc
Peace

Checked ur profile
Stereo - Xplod
Front Speakers - 200W Xplod
Rear speakers - 400W Xplod
Future - In Car Screen with rear car camera, sub, and amplifier
Seeing as you asked for our opinions... Im not a fan of Sony speakers at all.
Sorry dude

all gear is Sony Xplod, the sub is a 12 inch, with dual voice call, and i think the amp has a high pass filter of 80hz, and is 4 ohms, i havent instaled any deadening products as of yet

id rather go pioneer in the similar price range, look at RMS over peak as you can have 400watt speakers with 20RMS and itll still sound crap. id recommend amplifying at least your front speakers as well if not both front and rear
edit: home electrics are great by sony, but leave car audio to the pro's
BTW, my front speakers are 160peak and i think 60RMS and rears 180watts with 90RMS and bet they could just compete with your whole stereo

hehehehehehehehehehe
he said sony
*Sub is 400W RMS
Amp specs:
# 4 Ch x 100w @ 4ohm
# 4 Ch x 125w @ 2ohm
# 4 Ch x 50w @ 4ohm
# 4 Ch x 60w @ 2ohm
# 2 Ch x 125w + 1 Ch x 250w @ 4ohm
your sub will be powered by 250W i'm guessing...wont exactly be fully sick, specially as its sony power...

personally as i said before go for jaycar amps an say a rockford sub and build your system from there
my system is:
JVC KDG615 HU - $240
Stock front speakers (cressida has very good stock front speakers)
Kicker 6 inch splits i got second hand - $50
A rockford fosgate punch series sub with a custom-ish box 275
that system would/should kick a sony systems ass for about the same price
ask andy or anyone who has heard my system and they will agree,...
you just need to make sure u shop around and get a good deal

is the pioneer screen good, its a AVH-P6850 DVD 7 inch widescreen pioneer, with rearview

i would concentrate on other parts at the moment and leave screen for last. you already have a HU, even if its sony. but really like tim said, if it sounds good to you then go for it, we arent in the position to tell you what to buy as its your money but everyone will have a different opinion on brands and quality. i rather enjoy my JVC HU JVC splits and kicker 6x9's but to others kicker may be crap. just as long as you stay away from the obvious brands such as rampage, boss etc. everyones system can be that bit better in some way or another, but we are all learning
you got an AVH-6850, with 7" screen, and reverse camera, plus the sub and amp for $600? jeez even my bargains arent that good.

im hooking the amp up to the front speakers and the sub, should i get a mono amp for the rear speakers?

headunit is fine for the rears... u would get a monoblock for the sub if anything then run the speakers off the 4 channel. But i think the next upgrade would be better front splits...
and door prep

FFS man
you come on here and demand answers, people wont reply if they dont know
its called google, go look there and read reviews. Do you thing members go out and listent o every piece of equipment just incase someone comes on here and asks. of course not, they read reviews and ask other people to gain knowledge
so go to google (or any search engine) type in what u want to find and read about it and make decisions for yourself
