maybe buy the car first before getting down to everything else? :P just a suggestion
other than that you might wanna put a price for a mono as well, cause there are brands that sell for over $5k a piece..

dual 400WRMS competition kickers ;) will cost about $600-$700 i think at JB with the box, but you can always ask them for a better price
or go the single square kicker with 800WRMS (correct me if im wrong) for similar price.. but then again, have a look at some rockford fosgates or alpines

how much do you wanna spend??
one decent 12" with a decent monoblock will be just as good as a dual setup
if you wanna go cheap then get a pair a apline type-s 1222d subs with a mrd-605 monoblock
should be able the get the subs in a pre-made alpine box
i would also look at the eclipse sub range
ive got these subs and they go pretty hard and they arent running at full power

1 $600 sub will bring a much bigger smile to your face than 2 cheaper ones imo.
If you want to get loud DD.
Otherwise for quality, Image dynamics, treo, Resonant Engineering, Phoenix Gold, etc etc.

about 300 each
im thinking for $300 each hell be able to go slightly better than type s, although i do not have anything against those subwoofers
thats why i recommended the square kicker.. maybe if hes willing to spend $600 on 2 decent subs why not spend the same on a single competition?
its silly giving a price for subs, and a price for amp seperately.
what if, using your pricing scheme, the best you can do is say '2 alpine type-s' and an Audison monoblock, whereas if you gave a budget as a whole for the lot, say you could get 2 Alpine Type-X, and a Response 1500W monoblock. the X's off the response would KILL the S's off the Audison :P

Definatly. More crap stuff doesn't equal a small amount of quality stuff.
