Hey everyone,
I have a problem with my magna at the moment and havnt been able to figure out what the cause of it is.
When i am driving, there is a scraping noise coming from the engine bay, which sounds like a stick being scraped along the ground combined with a slight rattle This scraping noise gets much louder as revs are increased. The noise seems to be coming from the drivers side of the engine bay in particular.
Does anyone know what it may be, as i have been trying to figure out what it is for a while, and it doesn't sound too good, so want to try and fix it as soon as possible.
Cheers

Does the noise change in proportion to your road speed? How about if you change gear, does it change then?
Often the quickest way to get this stuff diagnosed is to take the car to your local mechanic and ask them to hop in for a ride.

it doesnt change in response to speed, just revs.
doesnt change with gear changes.
doesnt happen when the car is stationary and you are revving it in neutral

Sounds like its a drive line issue but it could be 100 other things too :\
Try some WD40 :P

If it doesn't happen when in neutral, then your engine should be ok. Could be anything from clutch to gearbox and anything in between.
Take to mechanic before the problem gets worse and may cost more money to fix

I think i figured out what the problem was.
Found a chuck key stuck in part of the engine. Was wondering where the chuck had got to. Must have dropped it in there when doing my stereo install a few weeks ago.
Took it for a spin afterwards, and it actually feels a lot better now. Thanks for the help anyway guys.
Cheers
