Okay I am going to break this into two sections
(A) Owner of Car
All I can say is this ROCKS:D I had forgotten what its like to have a normal operating diff again having gotten so used to the Cusco units. You would never know its got the differential in there thats not factory. Not anywhere near as aggressive as the Cusco unit, but give it a boot full and the car launches just as hard as ever, hits the redline with minimal wheel spin (Which for my car is good).
Round corners the car is smooth but you can feel the diff doing its job as it redistributes the power to the wheel with traction.
I can't complement the quaife unit enough. From what I can understand, its essentially the equivelent of a Ralliart Magna differential but 300% stronger.
Okay different hat on now :D
Some information on these differentials now - follow the link
http://www.quaife.co.uk/What-is-a-Quaife-ATB-differential
The best news on this is that these differentials will fit both the Manuel and AUTO model Magna differentials. Finally something for the auto owners. There is no need for special oils or additives.
These are a direct bolt into the manuel gearboxes. For the auto I do beleive there is some slight machining to the case on one spot for some minor clearances but this is a very minor thing.
The final thing about the quaife units - they come with a LIFETIME Garauntee against breakage. In other words they will replace the unit free if they ever break, which to my investigates is a very very rare thing. I can't find anyone but the most hardcore racer who have even managed to slightly damage one.
Anyway if you wish to ask some questions on these feel free to do so.

I am not sure 100% exactly when the next batch will be ordered - it just comes down to me saving some more money for a large purchsae, and how many people pre order some over the next 2 - 3 weeks. Needless to say I am having to spend quite a few thousands of dollars to pre order these from england, as they don't like sending anything out smaller than 5 - 6 units at a time.
I am hoping in around 4 weeks max to be able to place a confirmed order to them which will take 1 week to arrive into perth. No more large delays on ordering with quafie like I had with cusco.

I think there's gonna be one or two people floating around that will wish that these had've popped up a few weeks ago...
...but sounds good anyhow!

when i blow my ralliart diff, i'll order one of these!
dont let ego buy one of these, we'll loose the lifetime warrenty when he sends it back for the 5th or 6th time lol
btw dave, have you thought about maybe offering a package with a new performance clutch kit and the diff? its just most ppl may want to get a decent go fast clutch at the same time as the diff. just a thought

so a tippy ralliart with traction control and the quaife LSD should have virtually no wheelspin on hard acceleration, right?

That would be a good assumption yes.

is the life time warranty only for stock cars or any cars?
ie if you've got a S/C therefore got like 250kw does the life time warranty still apply?

Yes to my understanding its an unconditional warranty. This is even given to race cars so it shows there committment to there product.
I am extremely happy with the unit in my magna. at the drags this weekend, other than getting used to its slightly different approach to racing, I ran consistant 12.1 @ 120mph on the day once I got my boost mapping sorted out (Kept boost spiking with the drag slicks).
So I can vouch this unit is just as good as the cusco units without the side effects and increased reliability in the magna vehicles.

Quaife ATB Differential - Warranty and Limitation of Liability
Warranty
R.T. QUAIFE ENGINEERING LTD (“Quaife”) warrants each new Quaife Automatic Torque Biasing (ATB) differential both purchased and used anywhere in the World outside the United States of America (including its territories and dependencies), Canada or Mexico, against defects in manufacture, material and workmanship, when used in the vehicle application for which it was originally designed and specified, under any and all operating conditions, including racing, for as long as the original purchaser owns the differential.
Quaife will replace or repair, free of charge, at its sole discretion, for each qualifying original purchaser, any defective ATB differential both purchased and used anywhere in the World outside the United States of America (including its territories and dependencies), Canada or Mexico, which is returned to Quaife and which is not excluded from the warranty benefits of this warranty.
...
On the site it doesn't list the Magna as a specific application, I'd be asking for written info from Quaife about how the warranty applies...

its probably an fto diff... so putting it in a magna would void the warranty right?

I am speaking with quaife now - it looks like we are going to be getting 10 units ordered. But these would have to be made, and as such there is a 12 week turnaround from order to delivery to Australia. These are not stocked items. Quaife UK as such only makes these differentials to order, they don't hold stocks of them.

Yeah thats all good.. Im worried about warranty on a modified car.. Thats needs to be cleared up.. and so if one breaks there is a 12week+ turn around... MMMM

unless rpw have any in stock.....
as once this first batch is sold, its another twelve weeks between orders. We would re - order when we were down to say 3 units depending upon demand for these

I have put the warranty question to Quaife and will find out what they have to say about it.
And its definitly not a FTO diferential - Quaife don't make them for the FTO.
But at the worst, if they don't offer warranty (Which I don't think will be a problem), that would be consistant with all other differential manafacturers like Cusco and Kaaz. But if they do and I beleive they will, then that is better again.

Hmmmm this is not good new considering I have just purchased a Cusco....Is there some sort of inherent problem with them?

word back from quaife with regards to warranty is AND qoute
"The life time warranty is applicable despite the application all we ask is that the unit is registered with us with the warranty card included in every diff."
Hopefully that settles the question of warranty on Quaife diffs.

i doubt it, although others have had problems with other parts of the diff. i have a feeling it had something to do with using the wrong driveshaft during the manual conversion

Well im certainly guilty of the manual conversion but have gone to great lengths to make sure I had the right jack shaft etc.
