Last week I clocked 200,000 Kms (see picture below) in the old girl. Not bad considering I bought her with 84,000 in July 2005.

That red needle has been seen just below the 200kmh mark btw, and given a little longer road would have probably gone well over that.
One thing I must confess is..... I have been a very bad owner, I have NOT had her serviced at all apart from new Tyres and Brakes  . No I have not had the Belt done or the Auto serviced or the Plugs changed... or well you get the drift.
I've been quoted $400 from a good local mechanic for the belt so that is planned for the week after next. The auto is another thing as I'm sure I felt it slip as I took off yesterday  as well has making a few noises, so after the belt thats the next thing on the list. Then theres the Front Disks.... they are frogged last time I got pads he wanted to machine them but I didn't have the cash. I'm looking around for a nice set from a smashed up low Kms third gen.

That just goes to show how tough the car is!! Personally, I'd never neglect a car to that extent if I can help it.

How about you put the belt on hold for a week and think about doing an oil change instead?
Nice work making the 200,000 mark on the factory belt though, mines pushing 130,000 now and Im beginning to think I shouldnt push my luck on it.
EDIT: Also, congrats for not running up the **** of another driver whilst fiddling with ur fone to take that photo.

:stoopid:
My god 200,000 on factory belts? No service or anything?
It's probably a ticking time bomb at the moment!
Time for a major overhaul on the entire vehicle!
Do you at least wash the car? :)

and thats why you purchased a magna over a commodore :D
At least the engine is warm like a taxi since it's courier work. It's probably not in much worse condition than my engine, i've done 24000ks in 18 months, half highway, half cold starts to school/uni and back, and a bit of thrashing in between, even though i change oil every 5000ks.

Yep thats the plan, time for some serious TLC on the old girl.
Yes I do wash it, although I find when I go to the car wash to wash it alone.... some nice man always offers to wash it for me. ;)

I had a service, oil change ect when I had Gas installed about 9 months ago. I had forgetten about that.

I wasn't driving.

As I say in my Sig, I'm a courier so the Kms clock up.
We did consider taking her over to Adelaide last weekend for the Cows Vs Pies game, but decided the chance is too great of the belt going *ping*. Even the coming weekend we are going away 4 hours out of Melbourne and taking the Commy, so the Magan can cool down for the Belt to be done on Monday.
I'll be honest and I am touching wood, she hasn't missed a beat.

I took the car to an Automatic place today for them to have a look at it. They took it for a test drive and came back with the all clear. I asked about a service amd their reaction was to leave things as they are "the new fluid will act as a cleaner and may do more damage than it's worth". Is pretty much what was said.
The Belt will be done in a couple of weeks as the Mechanic is very busy and he wants to get the car in and out in a day.
Got quoted $45(not fitted) for new brake rotors(disks), thats the same as a wrecker quoted me for 2nd hand ones. So they will be put on next time the pads need replacing.
