k its been like this for 2 weeks now and i cant live anymore without cruise or horn

i changed the steering wheel on my TH exec (has cruise control) to a leather steering wheel with cruise and once i did the change and plugged all the bits up my cuise and horn dont work anymore.

the change over was very simple and straight forward so i dont know whats gone wrong. iv checked every single fuse in the car and they are all fine.

heres what i did:

theres two screws on either side of the wheel so undid that and took the horn cover thing of and unpluged it. got a spanner and undid the massive bolt in the middle once that was done theres another plug that has the horn and cruise wire all togather so i unpluged that and pulled the steering wheel out. now when i pulled the steering wheel out this other thing came of as well and that had like 6 contact points on it that was touching the steering coloum on the other side. wasnt sure if that was ment to come out or not.

but transfered all the stuff over to the leather wheel and put it all back togather.

and now horn and cruise control are not working.

when i press the cruise button on the wheel the light on the dash dosnt even light up.

so any help will be awsome.

Mal if your reading this can you fix it for me please lol

thanks
Ash

P.S i used a steer wheeler puller :bowrofl:

that thing with 6 contact points was that attached to the wires and the plug that connects to the cruise lever? sounds like the clock spring might be damaged

lol have a go at Erik, but at least his one works :bowrofl:

I'll tell you what you did wrong. You let your dad yank the wheel off screweing up that metal plate.
