Hey there i just purchased a Magna, my other car is a Nissan Skyline R33 coupe, ive always had the police hassle me. they even told me to sell the car, even though i wasnt doing anything silly........so i thought id get another car on the side, I bought a Magna of course, V6 manual wagon. It goes pretty fast for what it is. the cars in great condition. I wanted it for camping and fishing. The thing is the previous owner, a woman, was a pig. The car is great inside apart from dog hairs that are stuck in the carpet, the seats are fine They are needle like, one inch long. Her son tried to get them out with those rubber gloves, you use to remove hairs from dogs. He said the gloves wore out pretty quickly, but they did remove a heap of hair. The thing is many many hairs still remain. Sorry for the questions i know its not very technical,,,,im going to try the high pressure hose tommorow but dont think it will help much. The guy also said he tried a powerfull vac but that didnt help.either. i also have to change one or both of the cv joints.

Im in the south east melbourne area. any help would be appreciated, any suggestions on how to remove the dog hair from the carpet, the seats are fine..........any ideas or is there a business that can do this???? regards brian

If its gonna be expensive dont bother too much about it, you can get new carpets for about $150ish from knox auto carpets

Step 1: Go to a wreckers, get a used carpet from a wagon, remove seats (not hard, about 8 bolts in total) install new carpet, reinstall seats.

Step 2:

Step 3: Profit.

Yeah i agree just get another carpet and burn the other one lol. Maybe a brand new carpet would be good since the car is in good condition :)

I know you may have already try this but try it with a high-suction vaccum cleaner, maybe at the car wash but you will need a tough brush.

Otherwise do as suggested, get new carpet or buy some new floor mats to go over it.

I had the exact same problem in my old car, and still do to some extent. Basically to get rid of most of it i had to vacum the s*** out of it plus i also steam clean the interior of my car ever so often and that could of helped. Best bet is to ring a car detailer and ask what they suggest, or depending on the cost get them to do the car, might be cheaper than new carpets.

there is a thing specially made 4 removing hair its like a lint brush but its circular and has a highly sticky coating around it...works a treat and as soon a the roller is full..just peel it off and there is a clean layer underneath is. you can do this like 8 times or some s#&t look at apet store :D

you can buy roller things that have a sticky paper on them. you use them for getting lint and animal hair off clothing. i think you may get them from a pet shop. give 1 of them a try.
