before i waste time with an EOI that im sure wont really get many replies i thought i would just ask a few questions here first...
ok first question...
i have asked a few places how much it would be to do colour code my side skirts and the little bar above them....is it worth getting them to do it, or could i do it myself with a similar finish?
fog lights...how much would they set me back, andd if i did get them, how would i wire them up, would i have to get a new loom thingo with the foglight switch? i think a switch coming out of anywhere else looks tacky..
parkers...although illegal to drive with them, wouldnt mind getting a coloured set...how much are they and are they a straight swap with normal parkers.
ok this part is just an opinion, im looking for some rims, in 'your' opinoin, woould u get 17's, 18's or 19's....chrome, black, silver etc....i own a white car. see i kno it comes down to what i like, but i seem to like everything lol well apart from chrome, i think chrome on white looks wierd.
and last of all, parabolic, i kno they cost an arm and a leg - but are they the genuine ones, or can u get cheaper - no brander - versions?
front speakers? any suggestions?
sorry about all that... any help would be great.
cheers.

front speakers - give us a budget! then we'll reccomend!
paras - nope, no 'no brand ones' afaik
fogs - dont wire them to ur parkers, highly illegal. u'll have to go an extra switch, but have a look around, could get a normal lookin switch, not an led skull one :P
rims - 18 or 19, black... look at ashneel's rims on his car (or old rims now as they were up for sale)

with the rims i was also headin towards the black look with a chrome lip...
dam about the para's. lol dont exactly have a arm and/or leg to spare :(
can i ask, are there any good spots i could put a switch either being concealed completely or not looking tacky?
btw price range, not anything MASSIVE butt im willing to pay for something if it is worth it... im not sure what things are worth.

cheap splits are around $100-$200, mid range round $500, top of the line $1k and up. Me, i'll hopefully be getting some Morel Elate 6's, $700 splits.
Umm switch... to the right of the steering wheel, anywhere there :P passengers wont see so it doesnt matter

haha my brain just worked for a second there and i was thinking, if i got rod of the cigerette lighter, i could be a bit creative and put a switch in the hole, and put a cover over it...hmmm maybe...yeah i think ill be more so in the cheap to mid range with the splits...

eclipse splits, maybe high end alpine... have a search thru the audio section (before posting a thread there) as i think the mid range ones have been covered alot :P
also look at the pricelists at FHRX, then search the make/model on here, see if someone's already asked about it :P

i just thought of something... i have always wanted a dual exhaust system, but havent really thought about where or how i could split it...
could i...
get a single inlet to dual outlet muffler and split it that way?
or would i need to have it split and fit a muffler to each of the pipes?
and i searched around and i gathered the best palce to split it is just inline with the rear wheels? yes or no?

but if you get bacl with dish 18's will look small. dosnt really bother me but i do get alot of ppl going are they 17's until they get close and go oh my bad they are 18's lol
or machined finish looks good also but rims white a darker finish on a white car looks good now days.

regarding colour coding the side skirts/lower door trims i would recommend having a smash shop do them if you want them to last. raw plastic needs a special primer put down so the paint will stick. also they will use 2pack paint as opposed to acrylic which most DIY jobs are as you cannot get 2pack in pressure packs. 2pack will be better for high wear areas that cop alot of tar and stuff off the road as you can clean it off without worrying about damaging the paint as acrylic can be affected by alot of solvents andstrong cleaning agents.
2 pack will also be shinier as acrylic needs cutting and buffing to get the desired result.

agreed with the look smaller! i still hafta put pics up of mine, but theyre 18s black/machined lip, and put them up against other 18s, and they look an inch or so smaller coz of the lip! but they suit the car oh so well :D
