Hi everyone,i'm new to owning a Magna & would love some tips/feedback please.
I'm about to buy 1 of 2 TJ wagons & was wondering if there is anything inparticular i should look out for when looking them over.I do have the benefit of myhusband being a mechanic on my side too.
I've found a 2003 with 82,000kms in Kashmere & a red 2002 with 116,000kms,both series 2 wagons.
Thanks

I would go with the 2003 in Kashmir because of the lower mileage and I can confirm that the Kashmir is very easy paint work colour to look after. However, if you go for the red one, ensure that the timing belt has been done (usually around the 100,000km mark)
Apart from that, TJ's are known to be pretty reliable so you shouldn't have much, if any, trouble with it depending on how it has been and will be looked after. I mean, you might get a few niggly issues but I can't see them arising just yet with that mileage. Mines got something like 110,000km on it with no mechnical or quality issues to report as yet and she does a 120km round trip to and from work each day. Can only speak from experience though and there might be others on here who feel their TJ's were garbage. But good luck anyway with whatever Magna you get though.:)

With my experiences with Magnas (and Mitsubishis) I would recommend either a Holden or a Toyota. :bowrofl:

Well sadly neither car has come my way today.
Hopefully will have a car by the end of the week as someone through husbands work is going to the Victoria auctions & will keep an eye out for me.
Fingers crossed i get my Magna by the end of the week.I'm sick of waiting already.I've just been looking through the post of everyones cars & i want mine even more now than before.

I have had mine, 2003 TJII wagon, for just 12 months. It is awesome and delightful to drive. Power and economy are sensational. Good luck with your search.

Thanks everyone.
A TL 2004 has come up so i'm going to have a look at that car tomorrow & see if it suitable & mechanically sound.
