Hi , First poster here, a really good site!
My Dad gave my son a Mitsubishi Magna S/Wagon GLX Astron II TP 1989 for a first car.... Its going for a RWC this Friday.... And its got the usual issues... Right CV Rubber boot is torn... The Car is revving like there is Carby issues.... An inspection down the carby I see the second butterfly is maybe stuck? ( I did not force it)
But apart from that she goes like a beauty!!! A service manual is probably the best thing to do the various jobs? Any body got any idea where I can get a workshop manual? Cheap as my son is no millionare lol
ps Will the Gregory's Magna TN Series 1987 - 1989 Service manual cover the Magna TP?

The TN manual will cover most of your issues (thats if you already have one) and the rest you can usually get what you need off here. :D

Thank you for the replies.... Do you have a section on the carby? So I can see what needs to be replaced? ( Im actually excited to help play repair man with No1 Son )
We have a few cars in the stable and recently had to do a Rear brakes and Rear wheel bearings replacement to one of them... Expensive but really great to get down and dirty:)

hahaha don't know how I missed this thread... been too busy lately i guess lol
Yeah i'm close to being sick of fixing the TP now lol. I'll have to make a trip some day to qld to get ur help a bit to get the chains done... No time to do it myself. Not to mention the bushings on the left side which are slowly failing =P.
I do highly recommend getting the workshop manual though. It's helped me many times trying to diagnose random problems that don't make any sense haha.
If u are after some more info though, there is some information on the wiki site that i help maintain that magna buff mentioned earlier.

Hi Dave....Bought the Haynes Manual excellent details. .. Did the replace the spark plgs leads dizzy, dizzy rotor, Oil Filter , Petrol Filter Oil Air Filter. Starts half a turn or less...Issues still not idleing spray most of a can of carby cleaner down the throat, ran a little better but still a touch rough and too high. Most of my other vehicles NEVER ran rough always smooth idle... Determind to fix this so reading the manual...all else fails the brother in law is a mechanic in his own business...
All the best
John ps
anyone need info from the manual I am only to happy to copy a section and pm or post;)
