Hey guys,
Just wondering what the largest size driver you guys have fitted in the front. I know 6.5inch fit, and 7inch will probably fit with my quick calculations.
Anyone had anyluck with an 8inch or larger driver ?
Do tell

9's in my doors behind stock grilles... can't get any bigger than that in the stock location... And probably only the Morel Elate 9's would fit due to their shape...
You'll need to cut up some baffles.
Could proably fit up to 12's in pods, but i doubt u want to go to that extent.
Few ppl have 7's here too.

I thought 7s would be a waste of time, only a bit bigger than my 6s, lol.
SO your saying the Moral 9s fit perfectly into the door, behind stock grills. No need to cut, file etc the door ???
Also, do they hit the window ?
BTW, this is for a TJ

Im in a TF - no power windows.
You WILL need a heap of door prep to keep the rattles down. Sound deadening on all 3 layers, (inside outside and trim) and fully seal up the service holes and deaden over them too.
But no cutting or grinding of metal etc, doesnt hit the windows as they sit flat and the doors are huge., but I had to take the small plastic clip off the window (wont do any harm as theres one on each side. You'll know what i mean once you open the door up.) I also took some stuff off the back of the trim for clearance, but it can all be returned to stock if need be.
I couldnt listen to anything else now.
Sam350 is also running Dyn 8's in his front doors, both great options for killer SQ.

Well, i already have my service holes coverd, and door down with Dynamat extreme  . I was looking to update my midbass, and wanted to do something different. Next on my list would be to audition some of these speakers, and then put them in.
Yay ,lol
Hertz Space 8's here, awesome in door speaker ebcause theyre like 30mm deep :) pack a poo load of midbass and play up to 4khz too, perfect for a 2 way system. relatively low powered too, around 125W RMS gets them moving.

On the subject of FHRX. I meet Marty the other day, and I cant speak of him highly enough. Went in to quickly buy some speaker cable, ended up staying for over an hour. He seems to know everything about car audio :). Fantastic guy.
Also heard his car. Oh my, talk about a set speakers. I need to get myself those top of the line Focals. Im off to buy a loto first thing in the morning :bowrofl:
