Well to cut a long story short my TH has that bad noisey sign of a stuffed lifter/s
My car is a pain in the   , anyway looks like about $2500 to fix including timming belt new seals plugs service etc , to put it back to as close to a1 as possible
What should i do its got around 175000km and still owes me $loan , and atm its a really bad time to even try for a new loan but not impossible {morgage at max} trying to refinance the dam debts etc
What about a whole new/used engine ? a new/used head ? how much will all this cost and who could do it in the mechanics world ?
looking for ideas /help and a free loan !!!

Time to talk to the wreckers. Up here in Sydney a complete 3.5litre with say 80k on it would be about $750, If yours is a 3 litre, about $600. Do the timing belt etc while its out, fit it to your car - should be all done clear of $1500.

Yeah, dump kero in it, lift the oil cap and put a totally new motor under the cap.....
You may need seals, only if it is blowing smoke off idle and de accel, it is stem seals however if no smoke, leave the seals.
The lash adjusters are around 20 each, the rest is not that much, just labour.

Ive done the kero flush on my KE, 2 flushes at 75% kero 25% oil and another 50/50, then filled with crap oil for 500km to collect residue. You should see the colour of the stuff when it comes out.
Drained and filled with good oil and havent had an issue.
That was about 50,000 km ago, when the engine had ~180,000 on it.
Disclaimer: Just because I did it to my engine and got good results, do NOT take it that yours will be fine aswell. I had the cash to replace the engine if need be so wasnt too worried if I killed it, wanted to see how it went.

Had all the oil drained and flushed out and put new oil and a couple of bottles of noisey lifter in , mech says drive for about 500k then if still there start saving !!!
have run about 100k and no diff so fingers crossed

Mine rattles like a mofo.
Get the engine warm (drive for 10 mins), put a bottle of NULON WORN ENGINE TREATMENT in it, drive for 5 mins.
Enjoy quiet engine.

$2500 is a lot. I'd definitely go with a new engine.
Sounds like you got a problem with debt, maybe just sell the car if you can do without it.

I stil can not believe you got quoted 2500 for lash adjusters and timing belt, heads do not have to come off for adjusters to be replaced, are only about 21 bucks each so there is about 450 or so there, belt with cam/crank seals, rocker cover gaskets, plug gaskets, can do for under 1k for you.
