I Want To Change Rear Muffler Only But I Need It To Not Be To Loud As It Is At The End Of The Day A Family Car. This Car Still Performs Very Well Considering High Kms. Ive Owned Her For Nearly 5 Yrs. First Advice, Stop Capitalising The Start Of Every Word!!!

Dunno about 3rd gens, but with 2nd gens the auto and manual had a different number of splines on the driveshaft. Having said that, I think the actual CVs are no different. So I guess it may depend on whether you are just replacing the CVs, or the CV and shaft? If you are getting a mechanic to do it, then it usually works out almost the same price to do the lot as opposed to just the CVs.

That's OK:D Just makes it very hard to read, not to mention being unnecessarily laborious on your part.

Actually you'll find he wrote that post with the caps lock on, it's a forum mechanism that converts all caps posts to first letter cap for each word posts :).

But anyway, i'd be looking into a sports muffler from say a vr-x/sports (if you have them over there), they sound nice and you will see abit of a performance gain too.

I second that, its gonna give u a slight gain, a different note, but wont be overly loud wont drone.

In terms of the cv's im pretty sure they are exactly the same.

Tried mitzi wreckers today, no body had one. Have heard good things about lukey and vortex, loud but good performance.

Lukey would be a good option and i have heard the factory mufflers for vr-x/sports of here are actually made by lukey anyway :).
