Just wondering if its possible to put a verada rear bumper onto a magna? Just by looking at it, it looks to me like it could work, anyone able to answer this question?
Thanks Heaps.

I don't see why it wouldn't, it's still the same basic car underneath.
Yes u can...but....you need the rear bar cover which is the plastic bit and also the actual bumper bar reinforcement plus a few other bits.
So yeah, it's not just as straight forward as 'swap rear bar cover'.
Your best bet would be to goto a wrecker and get the whole fitment. Brand new I'm guessing would be just under $1k for the parts + paint.

Aren't the rear bars for Magna and Verada essentially the same??

Might be a stupid question, but what about the airbag sensors? Aren't they tied in somehow. That why I heard you can't have a bull bar on a magna (not that you'd want one)

not in the rear i dont think? pretty sure the airbag sensors are just in the front of the car (with front only airbags) as if you got hit up the rear, you'd be pushed into your seat, not the steering wheel/dash
but yes, you can be defected for installing a bull bar on a car with airbags, as they can prevent or stop the airbags deploying at all.

And then from the seat reamed into the steering wheel/dash.
Im not sure if magnas do but alot of cars do have rear sensors for airbags, just set for higher impact pressure.
Im quite interested to know if magnas do too.

TL and KL front and rear bumpers are exactly the same.
Pre TL and pre KL differ
TW and KW differ as well.
The verada front and rear bumpers are deeper by about 50mm or so hence the bumper
reinforcement (metal bar behind the plastic) is also deeper and there is heaps more foam
padding behind the bumper as a result.
And for 2nd gens,
TR and KR are different front and rear, KR ones are deeper.
TS and KS are only different at the rear, KS rear are deeper and front is the same as TS.

The bumpers are NOT a straight swap, except for the wagons. The chassis is different between the Magna and Verada sedans, since the wagon never went to America it didn't need the 5 mph impact structure. Magna bumper mounts are thin press steel while the Verada uses large extruded alloy pieces. And I can personally vouch that they do work, my wife ran up the backside of a VZ Crumbledore and did $2,500.00 worth of damage to it for a bent number plate and a warped bumper cover on the wagon
