Hello all,
Decided to replace the valve stem oil seals on my TR Elite, nice easy job except that I didn't
bleed the lifters and now have to do that. But after doing the job (did I mention that the top hose inlet on the radiator snapped off as soon as I touched it?) Bloody plastic! So, after getting another radiator, no way the car would start. Totally unrelated to the job I was doing, but unplugged the multi-pin connector to the distributor and was confronted with a mess of blue corrosion. I've managed to get it going with some CRC contact cleaner and can brush the distributor plugs clean, but does anyone have any ideas of what I could use to clean the socket end on the wiring loom?
Could be worth having a look at yours, as I feel it could be a common problem. And, just like with Jaguars, when you clean electrical contacts, a dab of olive oil prevents further corrosion.
Ask me how I know!!!
Best regards
