I got a new pioneer DEH-P5850MP HU which I'm about to install, it's got an Orange/white wire that says to be connected to "Lighting switch terminal". To all ppl with the same unit, where you guys connected it?

connect it to the lights of the back of cig lighter.. just dims headunit when headlights come on..:) ie. nite..:)

i wouldnt really be fussed with that wire
as ego said it only dims the deck when your lights are on
its up to you whether you connect it or not

there is a wire in the factory harness im pretty sure.

If you have a test light just probe each wire and turn the lights on and off. when you find the one that lights up youve found the illumination wire.

Otherwise you dont need to connect it and the deck will still work fine.

Thanks guys. Also, I have 2 wires in the harness green/white & black/yellow which I don't know what it is for? I might just tape it anyway.

I think one is for a power antenna and the other will be radio mute
