Ok im not sure if im stressing too much, or just dont have any idea what im talking about:P

probabaly the latter but i thought i would ask anyway.

Ok i filled my car up tonight and i put 40$ worth of petty in at 129.7 or something like that, it gave me 230km's till empty on my screen and just under half a tank in the dash. ok is this a normal amount of petrol because i thought 40 bucks would get you more than 230 kms....i think my car fills up in around 70$....so im confused.

does your car calculate km's till empty via the ecu and fuel consumption, or is it a set amount when u buy the car, also could there be a problem with my car running rich (how do i test it) because sometimes i smell a bit of petrol....

could there be a problem with my little screen display...? or sensor inside the tank?

or am i just stressing too much....please let me know:)

thanks alot, chris.

$40 @ $1.297/L gives you just over 30L. It's a 72L tank, so that makes it just under half-full. So far so good. 230km from less than half a tank sounds alright to me too.

And the distance to empty comes from a calculation based on the last few minutes fuel consumption and the amount of fuel in the tank. Drive harder, the number changes.
