Owners manual will tell you how big the tank is for sure.

I actually have a question about this. How big is the 3rd Gen TE tank? I have a 4cyl and I think its 55L, but I can put 50L of fuel in at just above empty.

OK, sounds good. Just the user manual says there are 2 possible fuel tanks, 55L and a 71L. But YAY, my car has a 71L fuel tank.

Im willing to bet they are the same tank, and Mitsu just revised their figures.
OR
They got sick of doing so many cosmentic changes from TE-TF-TH-TJ :doubt: that they decided to redesign the whole tank to keep themselves busy so the boss doesnt fire them.

Or simply a lager section of piping could account for the discrepancy, same tank but differenc connections.

Maybe all the measurements are made in mm calculations, and a spot weld turned out better after the first 50,000 tries.

1 spot weld added 1 liter to capacity!?
... maybe if they spotwelded there way into a black hole.
I think thats where all the fuel in my sisters Lancer goes.
Damn mitsubishi and their quantum mechanics!!
