Does a sigma carbie fit a gen2 magna, if so does it work ok or is there any other carbie that will fit the 93 tr magna 2.6. Also is there any differnce between an auto one and manual on as mines a manual, getting desperat for a carbie now

whats wrong with the ford webber ones in the threads i posted??
u can pull them of most xf-xg's i think( just need an adaptor plate). and your 2.6 astronII engine in your second gen is the same as the 2.6 astronII engine in the 1st gens so the info in the threads i posted will all work for you. have a look through those threads or go to the wreckers and get a second hand magna carbie.
not sure on the sigma one but being that sigma's astron are different orientation (cos rwd) than our magna's . so it should fit but might need slight modding. but im sure someone else can confirm it.

just quietly mate, you can pick up an old carby not working well for next to nothing, and buy a kit for $30~ odd. Now you got a reco carby..

What is wrong with the ford webber, well emissions to begin with and getting caught.

You have a few options, get an A member to pop out to upullit as there are several magna's there, 2nd gen, with carbs on them.

Rebuild your own

Buy a chepie 2nd gen, we know they are everywhere, convert to EFI

Not sure where the OP will find a serviceable, used carb for "next to nothing" (although, having said that, I recently gave away a 1st gen one... I think the recipient only wanted the TPS from it, so maybe it's still floating around...)...

Additionally, I last paid about $80 or $90 for a TP carbie kit ;-)

To the OP: what's wrong with the existing carb? Can it not be rebuilt itself?

Cheers,
Mattt.
