I've seen the excellent console removal guide at:

but I have a TH with the manual A/C (ie not climate control). Will the removal of the console be the same as the TJ or will there be a whole lot more complications with pulleys/cables etc??

I have a nice JVC HU in it at the moment and want to change it back to the stock HU before trading it in

First of all, this is a great guide and a great find, thanks.

Second the Manual and the auto AC are just inserts in the console. The screws and clips are all the same in the 3rd gens. You should have no problems using this guide in a TH.
To be honest ive never pulled a TH apart but i have pulled apart a TE,TF and my TJ and they were all identical.
