Howdy all, been a bit of a lurker, but it is time to come out of the shadows...

I have a while TL VR-X (leather option) which is stock standard, except for he VR-X decal on the back door, and a bluetooth car kit. I have had a whale of a time in it, having done a number of long trips, which are effortlessly comfortable, as well as ha a few runs around Queensland Raceway, which have been a blast.

Having done 46,000 Kms, the time has come for some new rubber. Now I have been pretty happy with the Grid II's that came on it, but am interested in hearing others experiemce with various tyres.

I have had a search through the forums and seem some stuff on p6000's and some yoko's as specific threads, but couldnt find any general tyre discussions.

So as i said, I have been happy with the Bridgestone Grid II, they ride well on the highway with not a lot of noise, they have handled well on the track, with only a small amount of understeer when pushed really hard and as I said, I have gotten 46,000 out of them to date, with probably another 5,000 left.

Welcome to the forums mate

If you use the search button there's plenty of discussions on what tyres people recomend !

Personally, i cannot pass up on Hankook K104's
By far the best tyre i've ever used, not the quietest tyre, but they grip in the wet like their on rails !

My boy racing days are long gone so prefer wear and tear over grip. What have others found to be the best wearers. So far a set of Pirelli P400's have been my best so far.

just put Kuhmo Ecsta AST KU25 on my VRX 17x7 rims.
fantastic tyres, reasonably quiet and they stick very well in the wet.
at 160 a tyre they are reasonably priced to.

Bridgstone GIII or Goodyear Eagle GSD3 F1

I have both front and rear respectively.
