Gday Peeps,just checked the ps level in my tj magna,seemed bone dry so topped up with about 150ml of valvaline ps fluid.Now seems to leak only half an hour later:nuts: Question is,have I *** up:cry: thanks in advance all Martin

First let me say, I'm a little confused. Did the power-steering fluid you added leak out? Or is the power-steering only half full?
If its the first, something is dreadfully wrong. Get it checked ASAP.
If its the second, there isn't an issue. If you've poured PS Fluid into the Canister and screwed the lid back on without measuring, you'll find that the Fluid level will drop.
If it was indeed completely empty, 150ml isn't very much. I tend to put about 400ml into mine when its about half empty.

thanks for the reply,still not sure what is ging on(too bloody dark and cold)just hope thatI have not stuffed up by mixing 2 different ps fluids (are they all the same?)Thanks again

AFAIK you shouldn't see a problem. You may, but I don't think so. If you do, you'll just have to drain all the fluid and replace it. I have added Caltex PS fluid to an unknown PS fluid and I didn't have a problem. But then I could have just been lucky to get the same fluid.

Thanks again Zedd,if all transmision oils are not created equal,one should ask why,it it so?:cool: After all all new makers use the same technology(corporate spys are a bitch)..........................The whole Seabed is a Conman ,and every Oyster a Woman:confused:
