heres some interesting info on the new 4G69 MIVEC 2.4 if you havn't already seen it:

It only produces 121kW(prolly tuned for better exuast emissions), compared to the 140kW proposed in the GSR Lancer.

looks like a step backward to me..... its the same idea that ford employed on their VCT AU falcons.... made bugger all difference and added weight and complexity!!!

it would be a whole lot better if they just made DOHC standard and stopped production of SOHC all together!!! (like Toyota, hint bloody hint!)

Well, considering it isn't really a Mivec engine it's not surprising. As Dingo said, bring on the DOHC, they you'll see real Mivec madness!
