Hi guys, Not sure whats going on here anymore, as stated in my last i was having trouble with the carbie, well after going deeper into the problem i have found out that when i take the air fliter out the car runns brilliantly no coughs barks or farts anywhere, as soon as i put it back in it starts coughing again at 3 1/2 thousand rpms. And yes i have put a new filter in it and still does it. Hope some brainiac out there can tell me what the hell is going on.
The timing and tuning are spot on and new plugs and leads to , so we can discard them as the problem. its a 2.6 litre magna for those who have,nt read the other thread

try the vaccume pots see if they are both working
stage two always gives trouble

starving for air isnt too serious

would be thinking fuel filter or pump clear the fuel line and try again

check choke operation

TP carby same as the TR see this post about carby problems etc
