the thing i like about the 2007 hcca series is the fact that you can buy recone kits for the full range, the worst part is being high powered subs means high powered amps, you need to run AT LEAST 1800wrms into them so if your going orion amps you would need 2x hcca-d5000 or you could always run 1 digital designs Z2 ( they hammer 2 x h2's at 16v  ) also just wondering why your looking at dvc 4 ohm as oppose to the 2 ohm version (15.2)

mmmm, yeah i'm hanging out for the Z2's as well...........mmmmm I love DD. Though I don't think a 2515 would handle Z2 well..DDZ series here i come lol

a mate of mine had 2 x 15" h2 series running off 2 25000 things, was an awsome system but couldnt handle being run for long periods of time. was purely for db comps. just from nights cruisin we ended up blowing up 3 subs, not made for cruisin.

Those Atomic subs come close to SPL if not beat the older 99xx series. Not sure how they will go against the new ones though.

agree with ya about everyone using dd subs i personally have 2 h2's ready for install but looks like i will be going a dd amp, there awesome bang for buck, but i still love orion gear just wish it was a bit cheaper the hcca-d5000 has 2500wrms for a retail of $2699

yeah the CAA guys love DD..so do I...I've had my stereo sitting in my cubboard for a fwe months now. I miss bass.

Anyhows, Street A is where its at :P Try and find a 12" that'll handle 3000wrms, chuck it into a bandbass box or something haha. Veerrry competitive.

SS is just crazy :P too much effort.

IMO, DD subs aren't that aesthetically pleasing, but they're getting better. Still, I prefer DD over Orion. Might be a few Z1's around on CAA for sale soon, if not already, as I reckon people are gonna want to upgrade to Z2s.

Ford_fella.....can't wait to see that install!....2x18"? is that correct? do u need a permit for that or something?

lol a permit ???? :bowrofl: you read right 2x18" dd's and i think you mean heaps of z1's for sale as the z1a are there replacement and have more grunt,

by the way car is set to debut sunday at gcas so will post pics after it's debut, and hopefully a new australian ss1-2 record, 16Xdb here we come
