Hi guys,

I have a 2.6 manual carby TM, and have an intermittent problem with idling. Most of the time things are ok, but every now and again it goes through a stage where it just won't idle, and then after a few days it will be all fien again for some time.At the moment, every time I pull up at the lights, it dies on me.On deceleration it seems to cough a little, but when you are pushing the accelerator, it is as smooth as could be. I have changed the fuel filter, and had the carby rebuilt a couple of years ago.It isn't a bad lot of petrol because it was fine for most of this tank of petrol, and only started playing up as the tank got low, but it has also done it with a full tank.Any suggestions? It is annoying to say the least!

Thanks Magnabuff, I will read through that.Is there a particular way to check the vacuum lines, or is it just a matter of physical inspection and feeling around?
