How do you take the stock shift knob out?

From memory, I think theres a screw underneath the button. You gotta take the button off first. Careful not to snap the edges.

If you look at the front of the gearknob there is a tiny screw which you need to undo and i think maybe there is another inside the actual casing.

I just had a look at the front of the knob and couldnt see any screws there.. I took the centre compartment out and still couldn't find anything???

Well on my TL at the front (the part that faces the centre console) there is a lil screw, and i would of thought that all 3rd gens would be similar if not the same.

On the TL, which looks just like the shift knob in the other photo you posted, there is one screw in the front of the knob. Undo that and the knob and button lift off together.

You should be able to unscrew the silver piece at the bottom to reveal- A SCREW!

Take the button out, as mentioned before.

Take the button out by using a small flat head (it'll just pop out at the right angle).
You will then see 3 little screws. Undo these. Then it should just slide off from memory.

pretty sure, you pop the button off, take out the two little screws, then use a socket to take the nut off. I used a VY auto shifter on my magna, they use the same setup so you can just swap em over.
