MITSUBISHI VERADA KE & KF 3.5L DOHC V6 (6G74 Engine) 1996-00 Timing Belt Installation

Have I missed something here?

I didn't think the TE/TF Magna or KE/KF Verada existed with a DOHC engine? And I thought the TH Magna was the first to have the 3.5L?

Nice post Tbutcher, but the aussie built Magna/Verada never came with a DOHC engine so the post is correct in principle but the finer points are possibly incorrect. I have replaced the timing belt on my TE and their is no need to remove the radiator or disconnect the radiator hoses. If anyone out their is considering replacing their belt I would suggest you by the gregorys manual.

.....I have replaced the timing belt on my TE and their is no need to remove the radiator or disconnect the radiator hoses. ....
I have also replaced my timing belt in my 3.5L TH Sports and also in my 2.4L TE ...
While agree that it is not needed to be removed.. Id say the reson for it is two part...
First.. it makes you replace trhe coolent (which I think is part of that 100,000 service anyway)
Second.. it would make it easier to get to the AC Brackets on the front of hte motor.

This DOHC one is more for those who could dream :D
The 3.0L is the same/similar to the 3.5L
