hi guys. recently i hav been getting trouble with my clutch or gearbox i dont know. i will be driving absulutly normal and when i park and turn the car off i can smell my clutch burning pretty bad. i was wondering what could be the problem. changing gears is no problem its just the smell. is my clutch on the way out??

an easy way to tell if yur clutch is on its way it is say yur goin about 60-70 put it in 5th and and put yur foot down on the acc and if the revs go up then come backdown then u start to acc u know yur clutch is goin.. im pretty sure thats how my last clutch went

if your clutch has oil on it it will burn

check to see if you have a rear engine oil leak or that is dripping down onto the exhaust pipe

recheck the hydraulic system for aor so bleed it and change the fluid if required

check for a bent clutch fork and that part is working properly

Sure its not your cat converter? It has been well known over the years to smell under some conditions. Sniff the exhaust pipe.:) :) :)

mine does it as well but thats only when i dont fully let the clutch out and give it some revs it also can do it if you use your clutch on a hill instead of the hand brake (im sometimes lazy) plus its a new clutch as well.

Funny that. mine is doing that right now. Its weird. Specially after driving a little harder, then stop at lights, i can see a little smoke coming from under bonnet or under the car. hehehe. not good.

i havnt smelt it for a while now but my shifts are getting jerky and very un clean. I really hope its nothing coz ive only just saved enough for rims :cry: lol
