dude, take a photo of the white plastic that you mount the speaker on and i will show you where you put the screws. You dont use the existing holes as the stock speaker brackets are larger than aftermarket.

And if your speakers holes still don't line up with these, anywhere in the plastic will be fine :D.

and find some spacers to use if your new speakers are too deep. i ended up getting longer screws and put a couple of nuts on each screw between the speakers and the plastic pod on mates car as spacers. worked like a gem

probably a bit late, but a better idea is to take off the entire white plastic section, trace around it on some MDF, mark where the centre of the stock speaker hole is, and cut a hole that fits your new speakers. The MDF would be much more solid as theres bugger all plastic to screw into

Seconded, MDF provides greater support for your Sony speaker that 'goes hard.'

hey man, for the 6x9's you can always just recarpet the parcel shelf that should fix that problem, but for the doors I dunno. Personally I left the stock ones on all 4, it helps as abit of an anti-theft device (they think you still have stock speakers).

i had the same problem, and when i went to strathfield, they told me i had to cut into the door material, and adjust the hole, correct me if im wrong, but this is why i also only have standard speaker covers. sorry about the bad description.
