Just wandering how much a timing belt costs for a TR. And approx how long it would take a mechanic to install.

$60 for the belt and it a few hours to change depending on the skill of the mech

v6 is belt
4cyl is chain

i just got a new timing belt from Mits, cost ~$85

sound like i got done but oh well:cry:

EDIT: if your going to get a mechanic to install you could be looking at quite a few more dollars boarding on $400 or so as for time your looking at a day job, depending on what else they have going could be as little as 4 hours, there is alot to pull off for it though

mine is going to be about 65 for belt and a few bucks on top, not sure yet, wont know till friday.

do water pump while its all off as well, and check the belt tensioners and rollers for wear
