Hey guys, I'm looking for a "family" car and am interested in Magna wagon around the 1997-99 years. I had a 93 Magna once which was reliable so hoping to have the same luck.
Now I'm very much a newbie to cars and Magnas.
Can anyone point out what I should be looking out for and common faults. I noticed the 99 is a bigger engine at 3.5, is this a big improvement?
Oh yeah and what sort of price should I be looking for?
Thanks guys.

I owned a 3.0 litre TF wagon (until an inbreed decided she needed the intersection more than I did) and found it to be a great car.
I now have a 3.5 litre KF Verada sedan which I have converted to dual fuel. It runs FANTASTIC on LPG and gets great milage as well. I would HIGHLY recommend the conversion, especially with the Government's rebate. The donut tank that fits in the spare wheel well in the wagon is dearer than a normal sausage tank, but also holds a bit more gas.
The 3.5 pulls harder from standing, but that's not to say the 3.0 is a slug, far from it. Given the choice, the 3.5 is the go, however.
I got the Verada with just under 100K km, it now has 159K, no problems at all. Just normal servicing, which I can do myself because of where I work. The TE/TF/TJ series comes HIGHLY recommened from me!

Id recommend getting something like a KE/KF Verada Ei Wagon, 3.5L engine, plenty of nice little goodies that you wont get with ur Magna.
Id guess a KE/KF Verada would go for about the same as a TH 3.5.

Ok, I didn't think of looking at ebay for a car.
The Verada wagon is sweet looking, this is the first I've seen for sale. Are parts and servicing more expensive for Verada than Magna?

Yo peeps,
I've managed to get my hands on a Camry wagon through a mate that is cheaper and better condition than the Magna's I've had a look at so far.
So it is doubtful I'll ever own another Mitsubishi, but thanks lads, you are tops. =)
Now I gotta sell my current car! (not a Magna sorry guys)
Cheers,
