So a friend has a couple FTO seats. Anybody know if they fit a 3rd gen?

Problem - belt buckles and adjustment knobs are on the same side.

They may fit, but it certainly wouldn't be comfortable. In order for the belt buckles to work, the seat adjustment controls would be beside the center console. That would suck.

Im 90% sure they would fit.

Can you test fit them at all? Or just take some measurements of the rails?

Actually the seats are stacked one ontop of another, making it look like the belt buckle and adjustments are on the same side. They are actual like any other seat.
