I went car shopping yesterday looking for either a 380 manual Platinum in platinum or a SX manual in the same colour. Would you believe that there is a 12 week wait on a manual SX? Considering that the factory at Tonsley Park isn't running at capacity you would think it would be a non issue to run another car down the line to make a sale... But they did give the reason that there is a new model being released soon and this has some bearing on the build. Perhaps they are already running series 3's down the line and this is what is causing the wait. Thoughts anyone?

I'm pretty sure the VR-X is going to have 18's. The grille has been changed, slight interior modifications and specification adjustments. Apparently the GT model has been scrapped. There is also meant to be a new spoiler (as seen in some current dealer fitments), new colour choices, and from what I have heard - curtain airbags. However, no mention of ESP. I beleive the tailights have also been changed.
That is all from what I have read, or being told at the Mitsu dealer up the road from me and at the Adelaide motor show.

When you say 'grille', do you mean just the mesh bit ? or a new nose ?

I've heard the clear style taillights have been dropped and only the base/sx/lx style taillights will remain across the whole range.
edit: Adz i've heard as well the VRX will pickup larger wheels so i guess that means 18s

Why do mitsu insist on taking a nice looking car and making it ugly.

A matter of taste I guess.
To me the clear VRX tailights look horrid. :D

I like the VRX/GT tails only because they intergrate the boot lip. If they could redesign the standard ones to incorporate a boot lip that would look better. The 380 needs the boot lip imo.
