Yeah I want it lower than it already is bit not low enough it scrapes the crap out of the bodykit. IU even went to the trouble of gettin the front kit assembly fully repainted, even to clean up the under scratches!! Bit sad but im a bit of a nut when it comes to the car.

hey mate welcome to the club
you normally go low all round if you want better handling and what not
otherwise you go the superlow/low combo which is more for looks but still has good handling when cornering
also gets rid of some body roll :)

Thanks mate, Im looking forward to getting invloved, hopefully alot more than just a few posts. Yes Im looking at taking some picks and posting them soon, just gotta find a digital camera that does my car justice............ anyone got a REALLY expensive camera I can borrow! lol
I recently got my VR-X from Perth, well a town about an hours drive away. It only have 40k on the clock when I got it and not a mark on her. This is my second TJ VR-X (purchased one in 2004) and I think this one is in better nick than the first one!!

was it the vrx for sale in mandurah? i remember seeing one for sale there, was asking like $21k with very low k's, but price was set too high and it was up for sale for a while!
strut brace u can install urself easily, dont bother getting it from a suspension place coz u can find cheaper! (Philcomm Rally or RPW)

YEP Thats the car!!!!!! COOOOL Yep I got him down to $17k including shipping to Adelaide in the end. Mate the car is INSANE! Manual, low kays, and ive never seen a car in such good nick! I mean I asked the previous owner to take a photo of the front end and his reply was " I will do it tommorow when I need to drive the car. I dont like starting the car and not getting it up to running temp and will aviod if I can" How cool is that!!
Its worth every cent

nice buy for 17k in shipping, translates to what, around $15.5-$16k before shipping? not bad considering the condition :) and manual too, bonus lol

sounds like you got yourself a very nice ride man!
Also, if you jump into the 3rd gen specific forum, check out the "post your ride" section. lots of photos to compare ride height and find the exact height you want.

hey dude,
yeah def go the whiteline strut brace if you can, cheap and easy to install yourself
the main thing i found was that it took a lot of shake (that was introduced when the car got lowered) out of the steering, better traction on the inside wheel round corners too...
also gets rid of some body roll :)
True that! got mine droped 45mm on friday at the same time i got my mags fitted. Sits realy flat in the corners now, none of that body roll crap. And coupled with the toyos that came on my 17's I can now take corners at speeds that have me trying to sorce some bucket seats to stop me sliding onto the centre console :bowrofl:
