It'd take about 15-20 minute to put em all on...
Do it once man, see how it goes, or else you'll never know if they scrub or not.
then take more pics:)
ts3.0 - Yes i do:)

mine are 235/35R19 too and i noticed a bit of scrubbing when going over bumps too, since the cars on stands im yet to find out where its coming from, but seeing as they actually poke out more then the 17"s im guessing its hitting the plastic gaurd....not too sure yet man

tmichelsons

will it level out a bit with all 4 on?
hope so, when the rain and wind clears up a littlebit ill head back out and put them on

that looks like the bottom of the strut plate is sitting ontop of the tyre

if thats the case raising it wont help

there is some scrapage...

Ashneel
08-06-2007, 11:00 AM
looks good but dont turn the wheel while going over a bump and go slow when entering driveways or the wheels will hit the guard and something wont be pretty after that lol

in the above pic it shows the tyre was touching the strut is it still touching?

tmichelsons

in the above pic it shows the tyre was touching the strut is it still touching?

i think so, coz i could hear a bit of scraping.
at the moment

front right has No spacer + could be damaged shock (after being put into pedestrian island)
front left Has spacer + good shock
and i think the front left is fine, i wasnt paying attention but i think it wasnt hitting the strut as much as the front right
will have to wait and see, nxt week pay i might have to order new pair of struts... AND i still dont have bumpstops so ill need them too :P
when it clears up im gonna take the front right off and put a spacer on there, see if it helps at all..

what wont be pretty after that? from what you said?

Ashneel
08-06-2007, 11:11 AM
what i ment by not being pretty is if you turn say at full lock and hit a bump tyre moves up hits the guard and depanding on how hard the hit is you will either damage your tyre or guard

when i had my EL falcon i swaped springs with a mate and my fronts were in the guard like your turned a corner and front left wheel hit a bump which hit the guard and it damaged my guard. think i hit the bump at 40ks

so ye be careful but apart from that looks tuff

lower the rear a tad more if you can so its all nice and level and inside the guard

wats the space like in the rear?

tmichelsons
08-06-2007, 11:26 AM
ill keep that in mind thanks man!
the space at the rear? there is heaps between the strut and rim but thats mainly coz the strut at the back is tiny compared to the big **** off one at the front of the car lol

yep there is some definate rubbing on the right side, i think its coz the shock is damaged coz there isnt any rubbing on the left side
so 3 things ive thought to fix it are
new pair of shocks
bumpstops
maybe lowering the profile from 35 to 30?

the 1st two i can deal with
but the 3rd would be a bit more expensive... :(

lol just drove it up the street to see if i was scraping, by the time i got 100m up the road i could hear it hardcore on the right side and could smell the rubber :(

They look too big for the car, did you check the overall diameter of the wheels and tyres? Think you need a lower profile.

tmichelsons
09-06-2007, 03:30 PM
judging from the wheel calculator thing, these are the exact size of my stockies...

compared up against the 15"s i HAD, yeah these 19"s were a SMIDGEN bigger, obvioulsy not inches wider but yeah they were bigger by a fraction.

Pretty sure the 4 cylinder had a slightly smaller overall diameter than the v6 2nd gen.

be careful is all i can say.

on my fairmont i got some front end scrubbing as i came out of my driveway, one day it way bad enough to pull the the guard down where it lips underneath creating a spike of quater panel that gouged into my tyre, so make sure your don't scrub on the front too bad

tmichelsons
