Finally (after weeks of waiting) got my silver ceramic coated Pacemaker extractors. Had em fitted today to mate up with new larger flex bellows and my existing full Redback system on my TF Sports. Go? Hell yes  Better standing start response, big fat dose of extra torque from 2500 through to about 5000. No obvious benefit in top end hit (but then you don't expect that on a road car system these days). And the silver coating is very sexy as it's more like a polished metal finish than a traditional silver paint
Just one worry. The extractors certainly hang lower than the stock system. And on a car that's lowered 30mm that's a bit or a worry. Any of you clever dudes designed and fitted some sorta metal plate to shield the extractors from damage?? If so, send me some pics for ideas.
This pretty much sums up what everybody says.....
Extractors will most likely not give peak power gains (for a long primary design anyway), but will give you more push in the mid to high rev range.
I'm glad u like the ceramic coating uber bling attack :)
Common sense has to prevail with a lowered car. Mine is lowered with pacemakers as well. There are some scrapes, not on the primaries, but more so the flanges. Just take speed bumps slowly and you'll be ok. Nobody I know has put knocked their extractors off the block....yet. I thought about making a bash plate, but at the end of the day, your just lowering a low point even lower, and could make matters worse in day to day driving (4WDs are a different beast).

yeah the 3.0's have always had the problem with the aftermarket headers being a little too low, just have to be a little more careful :D

Thanks for that. I had thought that adding a plate would make it likely that the plate would touch ground. But I guess I was thinking of it as a sacraficial thing ie., I don't mind if it scrapes because it is effectively telling me not to to go any further if I hear the scraping.
So guys, being new to the whole V6 3rd gen thing, why do the Pacemakers sit lower in the 3.0 than the 3.5??

Apparently the 3.0L block is about 5mm shorter than the 3.5L block

It's more like 18mm I think.

That looks about right, as the extractor primaries hang about 20mm lower than the std headers and primaries did.

Loved the pic you emailed me. Interesting to note that the EGR is supported. Did it come with a plug since your car doesn't have EGR?
Yep, 18mm is the block height difference btwn the motors. The only serious common component is the heads.
Should be a pretty smooth motor now. Just need an inlet manifold and some silly cams :P

Funny you should say that EZ. I have a nice manifold coming.... And then, yes, definitely some cams. Not sure about whether RPW St1 or Tighe though.
The EGR plug is not drilled through. The smart boys at Pacemaker I guess know that some people will just wanna put the EGR hose on there and have it LOOK like it's doing something
I do have some photos of the extractors on the car and will post them tonight. I actually have a sound file I will try and post too. Sounds wicked at 6,000rpm

$600 plus $250 for ceramic coat plus new bigger flex bellows plus fitting - $1400 on the car.
Here are some high res pics (you may have to right click image place holder on Imageshacks page to show pictures):

Very nice paint finish :)
I'm guessing pic 1 is the front and pic 2 is the back of the motor
