I had one....pretty average mate. Wouldn't do it again.

Kenwood do not make many good parts at all. It may sound harsh, but its the truth.

Do you have a budget, so we would maybe suggest something else ?

The Pioneer 306c is generally rated the best entry level sub, and, lucky for you, are quite easy to find second hand.

I second that. Ive got a 304C and its awesome. Same RMS rating as my Kenwood, but pumped a LOT harder. And its a sub thats been repaired too...so thats saying something.

Yep the 306C has been around for a while but still a great sub for about $100.
Also look at the JBL GTO 1202D and the Calrion PA12S (they might have a newer model i think)

All reasonable entry level subs

what ever you do don't buy a kenwood one. i have had nothing but problems with them. bought one that was already stuffed when i got it out of the box and the center dust cap popped out of the replacement one (wasn't glued right apparently) I used to have 2 venom 12s in my old magna. cost me $60 each and while they were not the best i thought they were better then the kenwood. just my opinon
