Hey guys,

The Bora needs its rotors cleaned. Obviously machining them is a much better way to go however with the recent floods and a general build up of dust, they are really dirty and squealing! Any suggestions on the best stuff to use to clean it out of the capilers and clean the rotors?

Most parts shops should have aerosols of brake cleaner, which is like degreaser but dries very quickly. If you give everything a good blast and scrub, it should come up alright.

Or just use the brakes so they heat up and take the layer of crap off. after a couple of corners they'll be shiny. You are talking about the the brake rotors aren't u?? unless your trying to clean them for a show.

Soapy water in a pinch.

Brake cleaner is not for taking the thin layer of oil off after handling, it is to clean out years of caked up brake dust and burnt fluid sludge.

Just let it burn off after 2 brake applications.

:D Yeah I have tried the "brake cleaner" spray in a bottle but I might take the wheels off and give it a good go over. Thanks for your help guys.
