hey all,
just picked up an in-dash sat nav/dvd system and I'm looking to install it myself.
I need to find the speed pulse wire, the parking brake wire and reverse indicator wire to splice the unit into, but can't find a diagram that indicates all of these.
any help would be apreciated.
cheers,
.wook

I actually have a copy of that, just couldn't find what I was looking for.
I think I've found it now. page 54B has a configuration diagram that I think will help immensely.

forget about the park brake wire, just ground the wire from the satnav. thats all it does anyway.

I was actually thinking about setting up a switch to enable/disable the DVD player (because it's not meant to play DVDs while you're driving) and hiding it somewhere.
but if I ground it, it'll never play DVDs, right?

no other way round. If its grounded, it will always play dvds
you see the handbrake signal works as a ground switch. When you put the handbrake on, the switch grounds itself and the handbrake light comes on. So grounding this wire on the dvd player is like constantly having the handbrake on.
