Hi everyone, i sent my rotors off to be machined today and have just now put them back on. Just wanting to know, is it normal to have a small horizontal play when the caliper is fully tightened? like, when u pull it towards you(looking at it from the side of the vehicle) it'll move and when pushed to oposite side, it'll move back? is this normal? because i don't remember seeing this when i pulled them off yesterday afternoon (was actually nice and snugly fit...

plz help, am sending it off for final roadworthy things this arvo and need to know if ive done soemthing wrong...

Have you used the brake pedal yet. You'll probably find that the calipers are a bit loose as the rotors are narrower than they were before machining. Once you use the brakes they should realign themselves ( the pads will come out a bit further and sit closer to the rotors.)

The brakes seem to be working fine now. i took it for a quick brake test just around my court. (accel then brake...accel then brake). them seem to be working fine so i guess it was just that they were a lil slimmer than they were before.
