Considering the last interview I can find had Rob McInery stating that the go-ahead for the TMR380 would be given a yes or no by the accountants in Mid-April, and by the fact it's lost all media interest, should it be safe to say no news is bad news in this circumstance?
Likewise, I've heard that TRD wasnt too happy with the refinement of the TRD Aurion, which, it too appears likely to miss it's planned launch date.

Look for TRD Aurion late July early August - look for it to have 235KW, 400+Nm FWD NO LSD.
TMR 380 probably early next year at this stage, depends on how TRD Aurion goes.

Yeah thats the info as at March 2007, then there were rumours Toyota were unhappy with the engine etc. Now everything has gone quiet from both camps.

if MMAL where smart, they wouldnt release details of the TMR 380 untill after the series 3 launch so as to not steal the spotlight off the updated car. Just cos a decision will be made by MMAL by a certain date doesn't mean they will make the decision public at the same date. Decisions are often made months and months before they are announced publically. Timing is everything...

Well they sort have done the opposite - made as much noise as possible about the TMR380, including making the car available to the press and making announcements that they are hoping for a first quarter 07 launch then given us nothing.....
Here in Perth, I was driving behind a TRD Aurion one day. Didnt recognize it until I was sitting behind it at the lights, and read the badging. Looks bloody beautiful.
* Plus, I dont know if the guy modded his car up to look like a TRD as well.

Guy on this forum hy_boi (Scotty) works at the local Toyota dealership here. They got sent out a TRD Aurion flyer for the first time about 2 weeks ago with the power figures etc and a release date of late July early August. It's only gonna be sold at dealerships with seperate showrooms tho (like Toyota/Lexus) It's aimed at the old man crew who want a bit more power (35KW up from standard - pretty sissy)

Yeah TRD aurion August some time. Though TRD's won't be sold under the toyota name, completely seperate showroom must be had, it will we in 2 models also, a sports and a luxury.
Thats about all i can say.
When is series 3 380, cause i'm currently looking at a series 2 and the sales guy couldn't tell me even if there was a series 3 coming.

Yeh they won't say anything on purpose otherwise they'll lose potential sales, would you buy a series 2 when a series 3 was only a couple of months away? nope :P.
