How long is a piece of string?

You could spend anywhere between $5,000 - $15,000 for a supercharger install, $2-3K for an engine swap. There really is no hard and fast answer, because the sprintex kits have been discontinued, so at the moment there is no "off the shelf" kit available for our cars.

Seriously think you should do a bit better search...... it's been done to death.

but there are still sprintex kits avaliable!!

and the cost for an install... forget the 5k mines more like the other lol

People seem to be forgetting that this bloke only has the 2.4, so I believe his "searches" may have been related to the swap from 2.4---->3.5

Easier to just buy a TH or something with a 3.5 in it, then go looking for chargers after that, you never know, after having a 2.4 then jumping in a 3.5, you may be content with that for a while. I know I was after going from a 2.6 to a 3.5.

It doesn't surprise me at all........ how many AMC members do you know of who have a completely custom forced induction setup on their cars??

No body wants to "play around", they'd rather wait for someone to make a miracle "off the shelf" kit, that can be installed and tuned in 1-2 days and isn't going to get them divorced for buying it.

ive done a search about putting a 3.5 in my magna, the engine mounts arnt the same on a 2.4 from wat i know and there are other things you will have to change(actualy alot of things lol),not an easy DIY job,and then you will need some1 to tune it.
go turbo mate!thats wat me and matty_j have planned,or you could just mod your engine, check the rpw site they got heaps of performance parts for the 2.4 magnas.
who knows you could be the first 13-15 second third gen 4 cylinder magna?

Would it be worth discussing your options WITH the 2.4? Like maybe just putting an SC on that, nothing else to change? maybe check in this thread.

http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45431

Might be more room for you to play with, get more room for intercooler and the like, big six pot TB's or something. I don't know, but the Galant SC might be the same diff between the 3.0l to 3.5l setup, you know same block dimensions, different height/bore. I might also be in the dark completely.

six pot TB's or something

Six "pot" throttle body on a 4 cylinder?? That would take some creative engineering........ I'd like to see it.

my bad. Sorry, four TB's. Six would be different though wouldn't it BB? looking at things from a V6 perspective warped my logic paths.

Thats right about people wanting everything in a kit.. Magnas are a very hard car to modify but well worth it when u do outlay the money..:)

You have to be differant.. nobody likes being differant.. Cept me..:)

:doubt: sif you were the first to do a hi-compression rebuild and throw mega lumpy cams into a magna motor....
