Hey what does everyone average with fuel economy in their TM-TP Magnas?
Took my TPGT for a cruise today with better than expected results.
450km to 41Ltrs = 9.1L/100km
This was approx 3/4 highway, 1/4 city with a bit of spirited driving and peak hour traffic in bris.

im lucky to get 450 out of a full tank:nuts: and that was on a road trip of 7000klms. i think i managed 490 almost 500 before the light came on and i had to fill up cos i was in the middle of no where.

Just took the EFI TP from Brisbane to Lakes Entrance in Victoria and back. Owing to problems not very relevant to this thread, most of the trip was done in limp mode or o/drive locked out.
Anyhoo... was getting about 400km on average per 30-35 litres. The first 8-odd hours (during which overdrive was used), it was more like 450km, maybe more. At worst, this figures to 8.75l/100km (at 400km for 35 litres, which we were definitely bettering on every leg)
Oh - we run 98 octane (usually BP Ultimate, but the local who does carry 98 is Ampol or Mobil ("8000") exlusively in both/all of our cars, and they are tuned appropriately for it (so will run 95, at a stretch, but the Magna will ping easily on 91 - the Tarago, I'm pretty certain, employs a knock sensor). We also only fuelled with 35l per stop, and the car was, say, "half loaded".
All told, I am reasonably impressed with those figures. As for the Tarago of late... Seems to be costing $5 to run to the local shops and back... Odd, as the engine (2.4l DOHC EFI) is running very nicely :-/
Cheers,
Mattt.

I must drive like a nana, cos I can go from Invercargill to Christchurch (575km) on a full tank of gas, and that is with 3 adults and 1 child, and a boot full

I got about 600kms out of a full tank of fuel going from Warrnambool to Shepparton which is about 450kms away then drove the car around Shepparton for the week. I was really happy with that knowing that my engine is completely stuffed. That trip was with 2 adults in the car. The trip there I only got 500kms out of the tank but over all I was happy with that.

If i really push it my TP EFI does about 400km to a tank :(. Although i never let it get too low cause i have no idea how accurate that gauge is or if the fuel warning light works.
