View Full Version : No compression
I had to replace the timing belt on the N13 Pulsar I was bombing around in, due to oil leaking onto the belt.
The problem is, the old belt was put on incorrectly, the crank was about 2 teeth advanced from the head. After correcting this the car ain't starting, and there seems to be very low compression, the engine's cranking like there is no spark plugs installed.
Any ideas?

Holed a piston or damaged a valve perhaps?

I believe these are non interferance motors, sounds like you had better check the belt timing, be aware on a lot of these motors the timing marks are not all that clear

Nah, non-interference engine.
I'll do another check when it's light again. It is possible that the mark is off. I'm just curious as to the appearance of no compression.
