Hey all, just wondering how all these dudes are getting ****e cluster facias (speedo/rpm meter/ fuel & temp guage). im guessing it aint easy to make, so i was wondering if someone could explain it to me, or better yet, refer me to someone who can make 'em for me!...hahahaa

I think he's talking about custom backgrounds for the gauges.

yeah sorry guys...i dont even remember what i wrote that the swear filter wuda filtered out :confused: anyways, what i meant was these white dials that i see on dashboards and stuff. how do u get em? (the speed, revs, guages are displayed on this...)

You make them yourself.
Scan in the dials, and photoshop them.
When i get my printer working i can start printing out a few more sets

wat do u use to print them onto ? is it a special kind of paper/plastic ?

right, so u just place em back on top of the old ones? :confused: how does the light come through the numbers etc?

EDIT: You cant print white though...hahaha!...

Yeah i think the thread got deleted now, but i print them on high quality photo paper, and you place them over the top of the old ones. the light doesnt shine through, only comes from the two t5's i think it shining from above the cluster

you can get EL gauges from ebay, but hey $100ish for those or i charge $20 for mine. ive had mine in for over a year now with no dramas at all and ive sold em to over 10~ AMC'rs

hey paul man, u reckon you could do me a couple (white with blue numbers etc) then giv em to me (email or something) and ill print em here and chucky em on...cud ya do that for me?

also, how do u go about getting them onto the surface? u gotta take the needles off and put em in yeah? little glue or not? im thinking not, correct me if im wrong

EDIT: You cant print white though...hahaha!...

if you want the light to shine through the numbers you'll have to print onto plastic, try officeworks or places like that.
mine were from a shop near my work, they are white printed on green plastic and the numbers show up. only problem is because its green plastic, anything that is usually red turns out black.
