Well it's almost that time of year where I go to the coast for a week or two, and you know what that means? FULL ACCESS TO A MACHINE SHOP! But more importantly, a CNC router!

Would anybody be interested in a set of angel eyes? (glowing ring around the high beam, parabolic only)

They will look something like this:

Why not do it yourself at home. (http://www.mitsubishimodifications.com/angeleyes.htm) No need for machines.

Why would I use a piece of rod and a dremel when I can draw the thing up in a cad tool, set the depth of the little slits then tell the machine to go?

I would love to see you make them exactly the right size and bend to fit around the second gen parras.

personally i dont think they would look too great on the 2nd gen parras, as the lights are enclosed in ovals than cylinder type holes, plus it'd be more apropriate for it to be done on a 3rd gen coz that looks more like a beamer than the 2nd gen

but thats just my opinion

Do I have a 3rd gen? *checks memory* We had one once, but it was a hire car.... So.... No I won't do it to a 3rd gen because I don't have one! (unless anyone can lend me a broken 3rd gen parra or something?)

Well that leaves me with two options, I can do it to a first gen without parra's or a second gen with parra's....

So anyway, enough opinions and back to the EOI side of things....

It'll cost a tad bit more to use the machine, esspecially if you don't get enough people to make machining them up economically viable.

Measure twice, cut once, it's a great philosophy. It doesn't take long to form plastic, esspecially cheap plastic. If I had a set I'd definately have done it already. Sadly I don't.

Just out of curiosity, what would the price be?

hmmm could u do it square to fit the first gen lights?? only cos it would look out of place being circle in the square head light.
If you could what price are we talking??

I'd be in but I'm unsure if I'd like to take apart a parabolic headlight..

That's the major problem that I'm seeing. You have to disassemble your paras to get it in, which could lead to major problems later. Fogging, leaking, silver flaking... Could be a very expensive mistake.
Personally I'd also be going for super side-light fibreoptics, but then most people don't know of it's existence.

Hojo, the high-beam is round, and that's where the angel-eyes would go. (Note that additional holes and wiring for parker installation in the high would be required...)

Colas, I get the impression Mrmacomouto has free access to the machinery, so economic viability isn't an issue?

Yep, costs me nothing but time and materials.

Shouldn't be much more than $20-30...

Getting the light apart is a bit of a worry, I am guessing they are glued like the 3rd gens....

Anyone taken one apart yet?

Sooo how about my question?? can u make them or be bothered making them square for a first gen(not sure if being square would pose a problem). cos round ones would look out of place in the square headlights. Im keen and have money and don't mind pulling my light s apart (even get a spare set if i have to).

This should be in the forsale wanted section and as is a commercial venture will need to be first approved by the Admin team.
